Career/Education Consulting for Immigration

Choosing an educational or career path can be overwhelming- especially if your eventual goal is to immigrate. There are a lot of factors that should be considered including age, educational background, work experience, skills and personal interests, finances, being single or married, going alone or with a partner, having children, etc. Choosing the location, school, and program are crucial aspects of your decision to study abroad as a path to immigrate. Do not make the mistake of subscribing to this or similar mentality when asked where do you want to study: “Anywhere or any school or program that will take me there.” Talking to one of our consultants can enlighten the first crucial stages of your plan to study abroad.

IELTS Preparation Consulting and Assistance

The International English Language Testing System or IELTS is the common English test required by most schools as evidence of English proficiency. Schools require IELTS Academic test for admission and Immigration requires IELTS General test for Permanent Residency (PR) application. While you may be able to skip the IELTS Academic test as some schools do not require it for some nationalities, you definitely have to take the IELTS General if you are planning to apply for PR. Take note that there are minimum IELTS score required for every purpose and that your IELTS score can make or break your school or PR application. The goal is to ace the test- maximum score you can get is 9-9-9-9 for Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.

NextKey’s IELTS Solution features our very own “Adaptive Scaffolding” method. It’s a customized approach to IELTS preparation that analyzes the gaps in every candidate’s English micro skills and specifically targets improving these through customized review materials and diagnostic assessments. The outcome is the improvement of the micro skills being targeted, leading to the improvement of the related macro skill/s and, hence, improvement of the IELTS score.

Visa/Permit Consulting and Assistance (Study Permit; Open Work Permit; Study Permit for minor dependents; Visitor Visa for family members)

Once you have identified the location, school, and program for your study pursuit and have secured a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from your chosen school, the next important step is lodging your visa application also called “Study Permit.” While this can be done by anyone through the Immigration portal, the nitty-gritty aspects can be quite tedious and overwhelming to inexperienced applicants.

NextKey offers information content through our blogs and information sessions through our webinars to educate the general public on the basics of this process- from access of Immigration portal, to account creation, and to understanding the different documents required. They call this DIY or Do-It-Yourself way. To some, this may be an easy and practical way. If you find yourself stuck or needing more help, our consultants are available for guidance and assistance.
